Summer TV: 2012 Edition

It's June 1st today (officially summer!) and that means it's time for the start of summer television.

Here's what to watch, and when to watch it:

Mondays

'Bunheads' 9 pm on ABC Family (starting June 11th)

I've already written about the show HERE, but suffice to say, there's dancing and small town stuff. What else can you expect from the creator of 'Gilmore Girls'?

'Push Girls' 10 pm on Sundance (starting June 4th)

The show that people are talking about, this docu-reality show follows around four young women, who just happen to be in wheelchairs.

Tuesdays

'Rizzoli & Isles' 9 pm on TNT (starting June 5th)

They're back! Jane (Angie Harmon) and Maura (Sasha Alexander) ended last season with a fight, but I doubt the producers will keep them apart for long. Those two have enough chemistry that they've attracted a massive lesbian following. Gay or straight, you should watch this. There's murder and such.

'Dance Moms' 9 pm on Lifetime (starting June 5th)

The spin-off ('Dance Moms: Miami') is kind of a bust, but this show still has all it's...charm? Watch Abby teach yell at her dancers and cajole their mothers.

'Covert Affairs' 10 pm on USA Network (starting July 10th)

This show may have the most ridiculous spy scenarios since 'Alias', and we love it just as much. Watch it. Maybe Annie and Auggie will even hook up this season.

'The Glee Project' 10 pm on Oxygen (starting June 5th)

Yes, I know, I am not a fan of 'Glee'. But this corny reality show is kind of fun. Watch a bunch of relatively talented teens compete for a guest starring role on the actual show.

Wednesdays

'Baby Daddy' 8:30 pm on ABC Family (starting June 20th)

It's kind of like of a newfangled version of '3 Men and a Baby', or at the very least like these Lifetime movies. This supposed comedy follows a twenty-something guy who finds a baby on his doorstep.

'Damages' 9 pm on DirecTV (starting July 11th)

It's the final season y'all! Don't you want to see the trickery and bitchery (I may have just coined that word) of Patti (Glenn Close) and Ellen (Rose Byrne)? I know I do. Since this is the final season, get it while you can.

'Dallas' 9 pm on TNT (starting June 13th)

It's the remake of the "classic" show. This is either going to be a massive hit, or a massive failure, I doubt it will fall anywhere in-between.

'Beverly Hills Nannies' 9 pm on ABC Family (starting July 11th)

The title and the fact that it's made by the same people who make "The Real Housewives" tells you everything you need to know.

Thursdays

'Breaking Pointe' 8 pm on The CW (starting May 31st)

Sort of like 'The Hills' except they don't ever look at their cell phones, and they work out 233435 hours a day, and seem to eat actual food. But other than that, exactly like 'The Hills'.

Fridays

Eh.

Saturdays

Eh.

Sundays

'Sister Wives' 9 pm on TLC (starting May 13th)

The polygamist family that took America by storm (or at least got on all the major talk shows) is back for a third season.

'Weeds' 10 pm on Showtime (starting July 1st)

'Weeds' is back baby! The title tells you almost everything you need to know about this hit show that's winding to a close. Suffice to say, Nancy (Mary-Louise Parker) is still attractive and still selling drugs to make ends meet.

'The Newsroom' 10 pm on HBO (starting June 24th)

Damn you schedulers, guess it's time for the good old DVR. This show is from Aaron Sorkin. It's about a newsroom. Need I say more?
